THE SIMPLE PRESENT

We use the simple present to talk about things in general. We aren’t thinking only about the present. We use it to say that something happens all the time or repeatedly, or that something is true in general. It is not important whether the action is happening at the time of speaking.

Example :

- They, We, I, You live

•- She, He, I lives in Jakarta

Negative Form :

•- They, We, I, You do not

- She, He, It doesn’t live in Jakarta

Introgative Form :

-Do They, We, I, You ?

FUTURE TENSE - BE GOING TO

Selain menggunakan “will”, simple future tense juga bisa di bentuk dengan menggunakan

“be + going + to + invinitive”

Kalau “will” di gunakan utuk menunjukkan suatu rencana atau saat kita memutuskan akan berbuat sesuatu saat sedang berbicara,

be going to digunakan untuk beberapa ketentuan berikut ini.

__1. Be going to digunakan untuk menunjukkan apabila kita memutuskan akan melakukan atau berbuat sesuatu di masa datang dan apa yag akan kita lakukan itu memang telah kita rencakan atau kita putuskan sebelumnya.(The speaker is talking about plans that have already been made.)

__Untuk lebih jelasnya perhatikan contoh percakapan di bawah ini.

Pada suatu pagi Mr.Allen berkata pada putranya,Jack

Mr. Allen : The table in the dining room is broken

Jack. Can you repair it?_

Jack : Yes,father. Iam still tired. I will repair

it after having dinner._

Satu jam kemudian Mrs. Allen berkata kepada putranya, Jack.

Mrs. Allen : Jack, the table in the dining room is

broken, can you repair it?

Jack : Yes, father has just told. I am still tired and I am going to repair it after having lunch.

__Dalam percakapan pertama, Jack mengatakan “I will repair it after having lunch” karena dia memutuskan akan mengerjakannya sesudah makan siang.

_Dalam percakapan kedua, Jack mengatakan “ I am going to repair it after having lunch” karena dia sudah memutuskan akan mengerjakannya sesudah makan siang.

2. Be going to juga di gunakan untuk menunjukkkan suatu kejadian atau peristiwa akan terjadi pada waktu yang akan datang berdasarkan suatu pertanda yang ada pada waktu sekarang._

-. I’m feeling not so well. I’m going to be sick.

-. Look at those black clouds. It is going to rain heavily tonight.

_. It’s already 07.30 o’clock and you are still here. You are going to be late again.

_. We are going to have meeting again tomorrow morning.

-. Jenny and Jimmy are always busy. They are going to get married next month.

SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE- SHALL / WILL

Simple futute tense digunakan untuk menunjukkan suatu kejadian atau peristiwa yang akan terjadi atau di lakukan pada waktu yang akan datang._Untuk menunjukkan suatu rencana, “Will” digunakan untuk semua kata ganti._

I will / I’ll You will / You’ll _He will / He’ll She will / She’ll We will / We’ll They will / They’ll It will / It’ll

Future tense menggunakan keterangan waktu yang akan datang :

Tomorrow Next

Tomorrow morning Next week

Will digunakan ketika kita memutuskan akan berbuat/ melakukan sesuatu ketika kita sedang berbicara.

A : What do you want to drink?_

B : I’ll have some coffee, please.

X : There is somebody waiting for you out side.

Y : Right. I’ll see him.

Wll digunakan untuk menawarkan atau untuk berbuat sesuatu (willengness):

A : This suitcase is very heavy

B : I will help you bring it.

X : The weather is very cold this evening.

Y : Don’t worry! I will lend you my jacket.

A : I have run out of my money.

B : Don’t worry! I’ll lend you some.

Will juga sering digunakan dengan kata-kata; Expect, Probably, Sure, and Think.

_I expect that she will come back tonight.

_I will probably come late tomorrow morning.

_I am sure they will enjoy staying with us for a

few days

Will digunakan untuk menunjukkkan suatu rencana

( prediction )

-.It will rain hard tonight

_.Who will win the game?

_.Their team will not win the game because they

don’t have good player.

Will you digunakan untuk menunjukkan suatu permintaan ( request ) atau undangan(invitation):

_. Will you close the door, please?

_. Will you stay with us tonight, please?

_. Will you lend me the novel, please?

Shall I …………. Shall we………….(dalam bentuk pertanyaan digunakan untuk menyarankan ( to make suggestion ) atau menawarkan sesuatu ( to offer )

_. Shall I pick him up tomorrow morning ?

_. Shall we meet at the station this afternoon?

_. Where shall we have lunch today ? Hok ben or

KFC ?

.org = ekstensi yang biasa digunakan untuk suatu organisasi. Biasanya untuk lembaga non profit (tidak mengharapkan keuntungan).

.net = ekstensi yang dipakai untuk suatu komunitas atau perkumpulan.

.com jadi .co.id = untuk perusahaan, dibutuhkan NPWP dan keterangan pendirian dari perusahaan yang bersangkutan untuk bisa memperoleh wesbite .co.id.

.org jadi .or.id = butuh akta lembaga dan fotokopi pendiri untuk mendapatkannya

.edu jadi .ac.id = untuk lembaga pendidikan tinggi, sementara untuk sekolah .sch.id
